Meet the Alluring Mariana: Dance Artist Extraordinaire

Hailing from Bogota, Colombia, Mariana is a distinguished  Middle Eastern dance artist, with an impressive 31 years of combined dance training in both Western and Middle Eastern styles. 

Mariana's journey with dance began in childhood, where she received classical0 training in ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop, Latin ballroom, and Flamenco. Throughout grade school and college, she showcased her passion in numerous recitals and performances.  

During her college years, Mariana discovered the captivating art of belly dance (raqs sharqi) under the tutelege of Najia of Philadelphia. Since then, she has immersed herself in  Egyptian oriental dance technique, preserving its authenticity through dedicated study and practice. Her repertoire now extends to include dances from North Africa, the Gulf region and across the Levant. 

Since 2010, Mariana has graced stages across PA, DE, NJ & NY, captivating audiences in various venues, from restaurants and nightclubs to private events like weddings, holiday parties and corporate events.

Her talent has not gone unnoticed, as she clinched 1st place in the Rising Star Tribal/Fusion Category at the Jewels of the Orient Competition in June 2013. In 2020, she was honored with "The Best Takseem" certificate in the Golden Age Queen International Bellydance Competition Online Edition.
